About

EMS Protocol Atlas is a searchable database of US EMS protocols. We collect the public protocols that agencies and medical directors publish, turn each line into structured data (drug, dose, route, indication, who may give it), and link every line back to the page of the source PDF it came from.

It is built for researchers, medical directors, EMS administrators and industry teams who need to see how practice varies from one system to the next, and for anyone who wants to check a protocol quickly.

Counts are of protocol sets, not agencies. Coverage is growing: some cities and states are loaded and many are not yet. See Methods for how we collect, extract and check the data.
